About Meg

Who am I? A little about me and my experience.
Hi, I’m Meg – an award winning professional marriage celebrant who just LOVES her job!

Specialising and based in the Yarra Valley, I know from personal experience how important it is to have your wedding, your way.  Not only have I worked with a lot of couples to deliver a fantastic personalised ceremony for them, I have also been a bridesmaid 4 times and a bride myself!

As a celebrant, I’m like an additional bridesmaid – someone who is in tune with what you and your fiancé want, is there to help with anything at anytime, and always puts you both first!

I have a background in Corporate HR which gave me great organisation, people and public speaking skills but it was becoming a celebrant where I discovered my natural flair and passion (for more on that story, check out my welcome video).

There is lots to love about being a celebrant – meeting new people, hearing their story and helping craft their perfect ceremony, making sure everything runs smoothly, having nervous giggles with the groom and then watching him beam as his beautiful bride walks down the aisle.  As a confessed wedding-aholic, being a celebrant is a dream come true.

I also love being my own boss, running a business that lets me be me (with all my quirks!) and living the life I have always wanted.

In my spare time I love to travel – recently we have done the Arctic Circle, Sweden, Finland and a white Christmas in Switzerland, have a Bernese Mountain Dog called Bubba (her real name is Uschi), am a regular foster parent for my local Animal Aid (as I write this I have 4 x 5 week old foster puppies called Gus, Arcy, Charlie Brown and Willow), love shopping and drinking too much with my girlfriends.  I have a not so secret love affair with wine and cheese and don’t exercise anywhere near as much as I should.

That’s a little bit about me, but I really want to hear about you and what your ideal wedding looks like! So give me a call, email or complete the form on the Contact Meg page!
